Amazon gains UK stores with the acquisition of Whole Foods Market

Tesco’s focus on the customer pays off with sixth quarter in a row of sales growth

Tesco today reported its sixth consecutive quarter of sales growth after putting the customer at the heart of its strategy. More than half of Majestic Wine sales are now multichannel

Majestic Wine said this week that more than half of its sales in the year to April 3 were multichannel. The update came as the wine specialist, a Top100 retailer in IRUK Top500 research, reported revenues of £465m, up from £402m a year ago, and a pre-tax loss of £1.5m, (more…)

How retail sales moved further online in May: ONS

Retail spending moved further online in May, according to figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) out this week.
